SONAR
Our USW solutions are geared
to meet the operational
requirements of today's
Navies with the most
compact, cost-effective
configuration possible. We
place a priority on ease of
operation and maintenance.
Our goal is to provide not
only an attractive
acquisition price but to
minimize life cycle costs
while maximizing
performance. Our sonars can
operate in a stand-alone
mode or integrated with
command and control systems.
We have extensive experience
interfacing to various
torpedo fire control
systems.
SCS sonars deployed around
the globe, both in the
littoral environment and in
the deep ocean, and have
operated in multi-national
task forces, standing out in
the process.
SCS sonars have
Commercial-Off-The-Shelf
hardware and open
architecture software.
Model 997/993 Hull/Bow
Mounted System
Model 997 is a full
function, mid-frequency
sonar system. Modes include
Active Search, Active
Classification, Passive
Broadband, Performance
Prediction, Underwater
Tactical Picture, and
Obstacle/Mine Avoidance.
Capabilities include Torpedo
Alertment, Date integration
with networked Platforms and
Sensors, Built-in-Test,
Mission and Data Recorders,
and Trainer. The system
integrates with torpedo fire
control and expendable
bathythermograph.
The Model 997 uses
air-cooled hardware,
providing ease of
installation and
maintenance. It can be
operated from a single
console or multiple
consoles.
The Model 997 is deployed
aboard frigates from Brazil
and the United Kingdom.
The Model 993 is a low
frequency version of the
997.
Model 980 Active Low
Frequency Towed System (ALOFTS)
ALOFTS is more than a sonar
system, it’s a robust ASW
Combat System. It includes
both active and passive
sonar with automatic
detection algorithms, active
and passive classification
modes, torpedo detection,
performance prediction,
Underwater Tactical Picture,
target motion analysis,
Mission and Data Recorders,
and Trainer. The system
integrates with torpedo fire
control and expendable
bathythermograph.
ALOFTS puts the active
source and receiver at the
depth of the submarine. With
its short tow scope, the
system places no
restrictions on maneuvering
and minimizes array
stabilization times. Bottom
avoidance features provides
the operator the confidence
to deploy the system in
shallow waters.
Model 980 is deployed aboard
ships from Singapore and
Israel.
Model 950 Passive Towed
Array
Multi-Aperture array with
excellent passive frequency
coverage for narrowband,
broadband and torpedo
detection. System provides
automatic torpedo detection,
alertment and ambiguity
resolution. Automatic
detection and tracking is
provided for both broadband
and narrowband contacts.
Ambiguity is automatically
resolved with a minimal ship
maneuver. The 950 contains
the following features:
Target Motion Analysis,
Performance Prediction,
Built-In-Test, Mission and
Data Recorders, and Trainer.
The system integrates with
torpedo fire control and
expendable bathythermograph. |
